I sought consultation with Dr. Archana Rao at the Ayurveda Clinic in Danville, CA for my peripheral neuropathic pain, which had been causing a constant sensation of pins and needles throughout my body, even in my eyes. This discomfort led me to rely on up to 600 mg of gabapentin daily, split into 200-300 mg doses in the morning and evening. Concerned about the potential long-term side effects of gabapentin, I was eager to find an alternative approach.Dr. Rao's treatment plan encompassed not only addressing my neuropathic pain but also tending to my hip and knee discomfort. By employing a combination of herbal remedies and shirodhara oil massages, she alleviated my pain and allowed me to significantly reduce my reliance on gabapentin, now only taking around 100 mg once a week on those rare occasions when the pain flares up suddenly.Her guidance has been helpful in managing this chronic condition, and I am grateful for her expertise.

I have had chronic back pain for the past couple of years, a nagging muscle that I tried everything I could think of to alleviate. I went to chiropractor, massage, physical therapy and nothing made it better. Once the pain started to go down to my knee, I went to Archana and she prescribed a series of basti treatments, supplements, and other Ayurevedic healing.Since having the treatments, the pain in my back has decreased by at least 90% and most of the day it is not there at all. Best results. My daughter had a fungal infection right on the face. She was getting bullied by other kids at school for two years. We tried several doctors. Most of them said it will go away on its own but it hasn’t gone. So, we gave Ayurtherapy a try. Archana has diagnosed and gave confidence that she can cure it. A couple of months ago, I decided to go thru an Ayurvedic Panchkarma service at "Ayurtherapy" and I am so glad that I did! This treatment has been truly very transformative and healing for my body and mind. I have not only lost all the extra 15 lbs. of pregnancy weight (which I have been trying to lose for the last 10 yrs.), but my joint aches, back pain, stiff neck, migrane headaches and body inflammations have all improved and in some cases completely gone. I had Really Bad Herniated disc ,Which resulted in sciatica and Piriformis syndrome.I went to Chiropractor, Physiotherapist Accupunturist and also had Steroid shots. But Non of these helped.Finally thought of giving Ayutherapy a try and I am so glad I did.Dr.Rao is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. After Initial consultation of 90 min she gave me entire treatment plan.I went with her recommendation of full course of Panchkarma Treatments with all the different Ayurvedic herbs to manage pain.It was not instant result but Dr.Rao asked me to be patient & trust the process. Slowly I started to see the result. I went to Ayutherapy with pain lever anywhere between 8 to 9 with 10 being maximum pain. Today I am happy to report I am mostly in the the range of 0 to 2.If you are someone like me who has chronic pain I would highly recommend a visit Ayutherapy. Ayurveda as we mostly know is natural and has no long term side effect .Trust the process.

My name is Kumud Desai. I had consulted Dr. Archana regarding my sciatica pain in October 2021.I have been suffering from Sciatica pain almost ten years now. I have consulted Physiatrist (pain management) regarding my pain. My Physiatrist Dr. suggested steroid injection on my lumber region and pain medication. I have been going through this cycle couple of times now. I have been searching for alternative pain medication because I have history of hyperacidity so I am very sensitive to handle the pain medication. I tried Chiropractic and Acupuncture as well for my sciatica pain but I didn’t see any positive results. I worked with Dr Rao for menstural headaches all remotely as I am on the east coast. She took the time to understand my history and condition and recommended ayurvedic medicine. She shared resources where I can buy the medicines. I had to reach back out to her as one of the medicated ghee she recommended was not available and she quickly was able to recommend one that was available.
